Weight!
You know, I’ve never ever been confronted about my weight with anyone in the US. Ever since I can remember, I was always considered thin. Then I came to Singapore. And then I found out how chubby I really am. Then again, most of the girls here would be considered anorexic in the US (not meaning that they all are, because my good friend Sam surely isn’t one of them). People actually...

Heroes
Hello! Well, I’m going through Season 3 of Heroes, and I would totally recommend it!! Tinky, tinky, stinky: You know how you loved Sabriel? I would consider the complexity to be of the same caliber. And there is a Mogget! Or at least, a character similar to him. Simple yet complex - ancient but young. You should watch them! Surfthechannel.com has all of the episodes if you can’t...

Pope outrages Jews over Holocaust denier
JERUSALEM (CNN) — Jewish officials in Israel and abroad are outraged that Pope Benedict XVI has decided to lift the excommunication of a British bishop who denies that Jews were killed in Nazi gas chambers. The pope’s decree, issued Saturday, brings back into the Catholic Church’s fold Bishop Richard Williamson and three other bishops who belong to the Society of Saint Pius X.The...

Weekend --> Chinese New Year, Boys Before Flowers...
Boys Before Flowers!! It’s a new Korean drama in progress right now. It’s about a fiesty common girl (haha me!) who gets the opportunity to attend the most prestigous high school in Korea, but she butts heads with a clique of mean high school boys who are the uber uber rich and all heirs. [I wish it was me…. :(] OK, it sounds maybe…….oh man. I think that I am totally...

Sunshine Burger
Well………………………………this has to be the best burger in Singapore. We came late, so the burger was a little cold, but we plan to go back next weekend and bring a bunch of friends. Sunshine burger with the bun on the side. UNMARINATED 200 GRAM(MES) OF GREATNESS. Sigh!!!!!!!!! The fries are really happy (meaning, they...

What Yield (Yellow Light) Means in Singapore
So in the US, from what little I remember of the Driver’s Manual, a red light means STOP, a green light means GO, and a yellow light means IF YOU’RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION, KEEP GOING - IF NOT, SLOW DOWN. ok. so! Today I was sitting at the bus stop, waiting for the next bus to come (since the other one came when I was about 2 blocks away…poo). Singaporeans are so...

Les Projets
Hi. Tinky. Well, work is a bit slow right now, so I’ve been looking at economic news and reading a text about corporate finance lately. In my spare time, I’ve suddenly been overtaken by some random and apparently dormant zeal to start planning for future things, like cooking and decorating my future home. Yeah, I tore apart Martha Stewart, Gourmet, Bon Appetit and Epicurious websites...

Laptop & Facebook!
I’m in the middle of a random identity crisis right now. It’s a bit less severe than a crisis. I think it’s called waking up one morning and figuring out that everyone that you grew up with has aged the same rate as you have. I see all my high school friends/acquaintances/dislikeables looking older! more mature! more average(?)! More and more like adults. It’s scaring...

my sunday - a great way to start the week.
WHO IS A LAZY GIRL? ME! I did nothing notable today. I was considering working on my painting, but I lacked inspiration. I’m working on a red painting that finds itself running into unexplained obstacles. I know, abstract, but I still haven’t determined how I’m going to work with my bottom third of the canvas. This week should be interesting. I have a side project right now,...

VS Show and Christina Aguilera Concert in...
Well I’m still up, typing this on my Nokia E71. The VS show finally aired in Singapore, and I thought it was really cute! My favorite is Adriana Lima, and she was the first to walk out, so that was cool! I’ll look for pictures of my favorite outfits tomorrow. The concert was pretty good. Christina has so much talent, and she growls like nobody’s business. I want to try one of her...

Singaporean Bloggers
Apparently there are some “Singapore Bloggers” that are super famous. Well, famous in Singapore. Here is my scoop: XiaxueSome Chinese equivalent of white trash. Except that she lacks 3 babies on the arm. She’s mean and openly admits to photoshopping her pictures before posting them online. Trashy. Incredibly trashy. She would be a big hit in the US though! Dirty. Dawn YangSome...

The End of Korean Strawberries
For one GLORIOUS week, I bought 8 boxes of Korean strawberries. Today I went back for some more, and they’re back to their regular price of $4.50/”punnet” instead of $2.95. I was much more willing to spend not even $24 for 8 boxes, but now I would have to spend $36. No thank you! And sadly, six boxes of strawberries disappeared in one day. Last Friday was probably my Strawberry...

Waltz with Bashir
I’m putting this into my blog as a reminder for myself to go watch the movie. Dan mentioned it last night, and I put it on my “movies to see” list. I used to have a books to read list, but now I just read things that appeal to me. So give me a link, someone!

Well it’s 5:49 PM right now on a Sunday afternoon. My studio has been partitioned into two sides: the clean clothes side and the laundry to be done side. Hopefully that pile will disappear in the next two days.
Yesterday I just went over to pick up my painting, paints and piano book from Sam, got a fantastic massage and then cooked some shin ramyun (remembering all the times I made Paul...

Happy 2009!!!!!
For New Year’s Eve, my friends and I went to Changi beach near the airport (carpark 5 if you really want to be specific) and set up some tents and barbequed our way into the new year. I didn’t take any pictures because someone else did. They’ll be on Facebook I guess. I did work extra hours and didn’t leave until about 9pm, so I was pretty tired. When I get tired, I sort...
